Media Encryption
tawktoo utilizes Secure Real-time Transport Protocol (SRTP) to provide high-level encryption for all media streams. Your video and audio transmissions are encrypted directly between your browser and our Selective Forwarding Unit (SFU).
Selective Forwarding Unit (SFU)
Our platform is built on an SFU architecture. Unlike traditional peer-to-peer (P2P) systems, media is sent to the server and forwarded to participants. This method is highly efficient for multi-user meetings while maintaining strict security protocols and isolating participant data.
Local Recordings
We do not store your meeting recordings on our servers. When you choose to record a session, the data is processed locally in your browser and downloaded directly to your computer. Your private conversations stay on your device.
Usage Analytics
We may collect anonymous, aggregated usage statistics to help us monitor performance and improve the platform. This data does not include personally identifiable information and is never shared with third parties for marketing purposes.
